We believe small, diverse farms and ranches providing local access to nutrient dense food is a really big deal.
However, the current industrial agricultural system isn’t designed with these small producers and agrarian communities in mind. The unfortunate result is small farms struggling to stay viable and rural communities shrinking or disappearing altogether. Propagate Investment was founded to provide small farms and ranches with support necessary to keep them robust and resilient, maintain the viability of their communities, and improve food security across our local food systems.

In this second phase, Propagate provides direct funding, philanthropic and nonprofit support, as well as organizational formation and governance assistance to our supported businesses to complete plans developed during our initial work together.
